Kappabara terms of use
Version: 31 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Francisco Javier Molina Vela ("Kappabara", "we") for using Kappabara: the Kappabara app and the web app at kappabara.com/app, where you answer questions about images, video, text and other data for a team that invited you, and kappabara.com, where companies design and manage their tasks (see section 6). Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
1Who can use Kappabara
- You must be 18 or over.
- One person, one account. Don't share your account, or let anyone else, or any program, answer for you.
- Kappabara isn't available to people on sanctions lists.
2Teams and pay
- You join a team with an invite from it. The team sets its work and pays you, under your own arrangement with it. Kappabara doesn't pay annotators, isn't party to that arrangement, and doesn't charge you anything.
- You choose when and how much to work; you can skip a question or give it back. A question you hold for too long goes to someone else.
- You can leave a team at any time in the app (Account → Leave).
3What you may not do
- Use bots, scripts or tampered apps, or answer at random.
- Copy, screenshot, download or share the media or questions outside the app. They belong to the team and may contain private information.
- Try to identify or contact people who appear in the media.
- Interfere with the app, the service or other annotators.
4Harmful content
If a question shows something harmful, illegal or private, tap More options…, then Report content: it leaves your queue and we review it. You're never required to work on content that upsets you; skip it.
5Your answers
You give Kappabara and the team the rights in your answers, including the right to use, change and license them. Your answers aren't credited to you by name.
6Using kappabara.com for a company
If you sign in to kappabara.com to design or manage tasks for a company or other organization, you act on its behalf and confirm you may. A written agreement between it and us, if there is one, prevails over these terms; if there is none, these terms apply to it too. For anything you upload or send us (items, files, instructions):
- You confirm you have the rights and any consents needed to share it and have it annotated, and that doing so is lawful. Don't upload personal data beyond what the task needs, or anything illegal.
- Your company keeps its rights in it and in its tasks' answers, and lets us use them to run Kappabara for it. We may also improve Kappabara with general lessons and statistics drawn from its tasks (for example, which ways of asking get the most agreement), with nothing that identifies your company and none of its data. We never share its data or answers with anyone else, or train AI models on them. The one exception is a task you choose Crowd (experimental) for: after our review, its items and questions are shown to Kappabara's internal testers, who answer them under these terms, so they may not copy or share them (section 3).
- We may remove tasks or items that break these terms, and suspend the company's access.
7Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We'll tell you the reason, and you can ask for a review by a person at support@kappabara.com. A team can also remove you from its work.
You can delete your account in the app or at kappabara.com/app (Account → Delete account). If you're the only owner of an organization on kappabara.com that has other members, make one of them an owner first (Your organization).
8Liability
Kappabara is provided as it is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.
9Changes
When these terms change, we post the new version on this page with the date it applies from. The app and the web app ask you to accept it before you continue; if you don't accept, you can stop and delete your account. If you use kappabara.com for a company, using kappabara.com after that date means you accept it.
10Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can't be waived.
